Amy Detjen and I just finished recording Knitcircus Podcast #4, and I thought it'd be fun to give you a behind-the-scenes peek at our ersatz recording studio. Otherwise known as my dining-room table.

Can you guess which book we reviewed in this episode?

I always have piles of books and yarn and hastily-scribbled notes; we were also joined this time by a teeny-tiny guest (shown perched on the microphone).

We call the carrier on the right the Super-Secret Spy Kit; it's a special podcasting audio recording set with padded spots for all of the podcasting items.

Here's my favorite part; I know the mike is just right for the job, because it tells me so!

Some fun in the upcoming episode: Amy saves the day, a knitted pigeon with pipe-cleaner feet, and I dabble in Poison. A good kind.

Dolcetto KAL Prize

If you haven't joined the Dolcetto KAL yet, there's still time. Just visit the Knitcircus Ravelry group and cast on your fingering-weight yarn!

Indigodragonfly maven Kim has generously donated a skein of her laceweight yarn as the Grand Prize for the KAL:

It's her MCN Lace, in the colorway Butterflies and Zebras, Moonbeams and Fairytales.

Finish one of these one-skein shawlettes, and you could take home the yarn for your next project!
