Hope everyone Stateside enjoyed their holiday weekend; cooler temperatures felt like Fall in Wisconsin, so our family made roast chicken and potatoes instead of the traditional grill-out. My mom made the Baked NYC Coffee Chocolate Cake; wow!

 Elephant kit winner is: Colleen

Three Fall Pattern Collection Winners are:

Susan H, Heather K and Connie! All winners have been notified.

Not every one is enjoying a safe, dry holiday, though, so today we're going to spotlight the efforts of one of our longtime partners, independent Vermont fiber mill Green Mountain Spinnery. Vermont was one of the hardest-hit areas of Irene, struggling to absorb the record rainfall and deal with widespread flooding.

Green Mountain Spinnery is taking the initiative to help their flood-damaged neighbors; 50% of their online sales until Sept 9th will go to Hurricane Irene relief in Vermont. So please support them and order some of their Vermont-made yarn, patterns or books!
