TNNA Day 1
TNNA, wow, knitters are flocking about like you wouldn't believe! Pictured above: gorgeous Anzula Yarn from the Sample It special deal event; I also got six sets of the new Chiagoo Red needles for $27 buckaroos!
Knitcircus video star and up-and-coming designer the Sexy Knitter's rooming with me and two other ladies. Couldn't resist taking a photo of the yarn next to her sexy shoes!
Amy D has been helping me feel comfortable in the crowds. She and I helped Michelle/ Fickleknitter get her lovely pink-draped booth set up earlier, then Michelle took me around and introduced me to yarn company people. Michelle's patterns never fail to impress; can't wait to see her new book come out, with eight luscious triangular shawl patterns.
Amy and I next used our long limbs to assist Ysolda, in the booth right next to Michelle, in hanging her gauzy-white harem tent, in the booht right next to Michelle's. That girl sure knows how to put on a show! Looking forward to seeing the photobooth and bubble machine in action tomorrow.
And Jeni's ice cream? Famous for a reason. We've already eaten there twice today…
For me: Goat Cheese and Dried Cherries this morning (wow, like cheesecake, with plump cherries every so often) and Gravel Road (salty caramel with smoked almonds) after dinner. Luckily, it's so full of shoppers in there that our moans weren't necessarily audible…
Tonight; may try to cross the street in humungous storm to the other hotel to find rumored Ravelry-folks-attended knit-and-hang out event. Will let you know if it pans out!
