Space Cadet Yarn Has Landed!
As an independent yarn dying company, we appreciate and understand how much work goes into beautiful hand-dyed yarn! There are so many talented fiber artists out there and we feel that it’s important to support one another in this community. Once we moved into our new shop location, a goal of ours was to be able to host trunk shows so that our customers would be able to see and buy hand-dyed yarn that wouldn’t be available to them otherwise. Yesterday we received a big box of yarn from Space Cadet, a yarn company based in Pittsburgh, PA. Our first trunk show of the year is here!
While unpacking this yarn, we couldn’t help but squeeze every skein and inspect each colorway closer. Even now, with the yarn spread across our classroom table, I can’t help but gaze longingly at it from across the room. I haven’t decided which skeins will come home with me, but I will definitely be adding some to my stash over the next two weeks. There are beautiful tonals and semi-solid colors, and I’m considering choosing two for a Snow Day shawl by Mina Philip out of the squishy sport weight base called Lyra. I also have a hard time passing up hand-dyed sock yarn, and Space Cadet has a gorgeous 80/20 blend of Merino and nylon as well as a 75/25 blend that has a bit of sparkle added to it. It’s pretty likely that a new pair of Space Cadet socks will be in my future…
I really hope that you’ll be able to come and peruse the trunk show for yourself. There really is something for everyone and we’re so glad to have this added to our inventory for the next couple of weeks! And keep an eye out for future trunk shows!
