From the designer:
Designed for that wonderful skein of fingering weight yarn you have been saving for something unique. You know, the skein you love that just followed you home, ready to party with you, even though you had nothing in mind to create with it. This shawl will take the entire skein, and is adjustable to fit your skein yardage - anywhere from approx. 400 to 600 yards. The shape of this shawl is a very wearable, elongated triangle, with a gently curving upper edge, and it contains plenty of repetition for you to relax into, with enough detail to keep it interesting. The yarn over/dropped stitches make it a quick knit, and the fringe adds a fun, festive finish. You can wear your shawl as a cozy wrap, or drape it lightly over your shoulders. While you’re at it, why not make more than one - and gift the extra to someone knit worthy who would enjoy having little more fringey festivity in their life?
Optional but highly recommended to have a yarn scale - this is how you determine how to customize your shawl to get the most benefit from almost every bit of your yarn. You can also use a diet scale, a postage scale, etc
