Learn to Knit the Fish Lips Kiss Heel with Jennifer Rundhaug at our store on November 17th 2018 from 1:00-3:00pm
This product is unavailable
Learn how to knit the well-known Fish Lips Kiss sock heel. This ingenious technique is a new take on a short-row heel without wrap-and-turns or gaps! This heel fits like a dream and prevents your socks from slipping down your foot. Included in the pattern are directions for making a cardboard foot cutout so your hand-knit socks fit every time! Pattern and materials additional.
Required prerequisites: Knit, Purl, Cast On, and Bind Off. Must know how to knit with double pointed needles or using the Magic Loop method.
Disclaimer: We will not be knitting an entire sock during this class. Please come to class with a sock ready for the heel to be inserted or with a “practice” sock, a tube of knitting roughly the same circumference as a sock that can be used to practice the heel technique. This heel will work with both cuff down or toe-up methods.
Materials needed: US #1 or 2 40" circular needle or double pointed needles, enough sock weight yarn to knit your heel, and a stitch marker. If you are purchasing yarn at Knitcircus for your class, please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before class to purchase yarn.
