About this Colorway
The Orange and the Green: Based on the Irish Folk song of the same name, The Orange and the Green by Anthony Murphy, this yarn pays tribute to the Irish flag, representing the Catholic majority, Protestant minority, and eventual peace reached between them. The song pokes fun at the struggles of growing up in an interfaith household, an allegory of the historically violent struggles between the Protestant and Catholic factions of Ireland.
This skein of is part of our Speckle Collection - which offers gorgeous spots of the color on a semi-solid background.
Notes about Knitcircus Yarns
Because of our unique dyeing process, many of our darker colors appear heathered, with small light spots sprinkled throughout. This heathering is normal. Our yarns are colored using professional-grade acid dyes. We’ve made every effort to photograph the color accurately, but appearance may vary depending on your monitor settings.
