Have you ever met someone who’s got a classic, effortless style, someone who just knows how to toss on a shawl and it drapes perfectly every time? Added to that, they’re authentic, generous, supportive and creative? That’s Ciara, the person who inspired this shawl. She has been the owner of our local yarn store, Rumpelstitlskin (in Sacramento, CA) for the past 4 years, inspiring customers, teachers, designers and dyers alike. Personally, I’m so grateful for her support and belief in me as a pattern designer.
The Ciara Shawl has a timeless, classic elegance. Knitted with 3 different colors of fingering weight yarn, the design contains enough repetition for you to relax into, with enough detail to keep it interesting. The shape of this shawl is a bias, asymmetrical, elongated triangle, with a gently curving top edge that hugs your neck beautifully. You can wear your shawl as a cozy wrap, or draped lightly over your shoulders.
