Granny's Favorite Children's Cardigan by Georgie Hallam
When Little Red Riding Hood went to visit her grandmother it is probable that she was expecting to receive another new knit. That would explain why she’d stopped to pick flowers in the wood; to show her thanks. Little Red just adores her granny’s knits!
This little cardigan, is quite possibly Granny’s favorite to knit; it’s her go-to pattern.
This pattern is written for DK-weight yarn. Choose from a variety of speckled skeins from our many ready-to-ship colorways, or browse our semi-solid skeins ready-to-ship. We also have speckled skeins dyed-to-order or semi-solid skeins dyed-to-order for even more choices - make sure you choose DK weight from these colorway options. Construction:
Knit top down and seamlessly, this cardigan features a quaint little lace pattern around the circular yoke and cuffs. Body is knit flat and sleeves are knit in the round.
Granny is a bit of a yardage chicken flirt, so this pattern gives her the opportunity to change both sleeve and body length to suit, when her yarn gives her an unexpected surprise…. just like the wolf!
Sample garment is knit from just 200g of yarn, with dress length body and middie length sleeves
Instructions for lace yoke are both charted and written.
