Breathtaking BFL Fingering

Breathtaking BFL is 100% superwash Blue-faced Leicester wool, a yarn for knitters who are looking for a sheep breed with an established following in the industry -- and for good reason. If you love a sheep-y wool, this is the yarn for you! Known for its lustrous, long fibers, our yarn made with Blue-faced Leicester boasts a woolly halo and is a favorite among knitters.

Greatest of Ease Fingering

Greatest of Ease is a USA-sourced yarn, with 80% superwash Merino wool and 20% nylon. Greatest of Ease is our perennial best seller and has 400 yards in 100 grams, making it the perfect fingering yarn - it is wonderful for shawls, scarves, cowls, hats, mittens, and socks!

Trampoline Fingering

Trampoline is 100% USA-sourced and USA-spun yarn made exclusively for Knitcircus. It is 100% superwash Merino, and has so much bounce, we just HAD to name it trampoline. Trampoline has 440 yards to 100 grams, making it the perfect light fingering yarn - it is wonderful for shawls, scarves, cowls, hats, mittens, and socks!

      Parasol Fingering

      Parasol is 70% USA-Sourced Merino wool and 30% Mulberry silk. It's our super-silky luxury base for those who like the softer colors that silk brings. This luxurious yarn combines the best of Merino and silk for a drapey yet springy knitted fabric. This base takes the dyes more subtly than our other bases. Also note, this base is not machine washable.

        Spectacular - fingering (100% superwash Merino wool) - 480 yds/120g. Single-ply, shiny, and soft. We call these "100g skeins" in our product listings, but these skeins weigh approximately 120g, giving you nearly 480 yards per skein!

            Divine is how this yarn knits up and wears. Milled in the USA, this DK yarn soaks up our colors beautifully. It is 100% Superwash Merino and has 260 yds per 100g, so it's wonderfully soft and ideal for garments and accessories alike.

            Driftless DK

            We're so excited to have partnered with Ewetopia Fiber Mill in Viroqua, WI for this gorgeous yarn, and they created this yarn blend especially for us to dye up in our studio. We're so proud to offer a locally-sourced, locally-dyed yarn made with love in the beloved Driftless region of Wisconsin.

            A scrumptious wool blend of Rambouillet and Targhee is married perfectly with Alpaca fiber.The Rambouillet and Targhee is sourced from Lodi and Arlington, WI. The Alpaca is sourced from Waukesha, WI.

                  Flying Trapeze is 90% superwash Targhee wool and 10% nylon, so can double as both a sock yarn or nice drapey shawl yarn. Targhee is a soft, Fine Wool breed yarn that is 100% made in the USA. Its crisp hand is perfect for spotlighting texture, cables and lace.

                  Corriedale Fingering Discontinued

                  Corriedale is 80% superwash Corriedale wool and 20% nylon, so can double as both a sock yarn or nice drapey shawl yarn. For stitchers who like sheep-y wool, your day has come! This heritage sheep breed boasts a halo and a lofty, woolly feel. First developed in Australia and New Zealand in 1868, Corriedale crosses Merino and Lincoln sheep for a soft, long-staple wool, and these animals adapt well to dry and rugged climates. Popular in the Falkland Islands, this breed was brought to the USA in 1914.

Milled in the USA, this DK yarn soaks up our colors beautifully. It is 100% superwash Merino and has 250 yds per 100g, so it's that perfect inbetween weight for times you don't want worsted, but you need something larger than fingering. This is fantastic for sweaters and ALL accessories!

                          Lap of Luxury is back by popular demand! It is 60% Merino wool and 40% cultivated silk, and quite possibley the most luxurious worsted ever. It has a sheen that just won't quit! Because of the silk content, this base takes the dye a little more subtly than some of our other bases.

                              Lavish: heavy fingering or light sport (discontinued)

                              Lavish was a Knitcircus exclusive yarn, with extra luxury built right in. It is a heavy fingering or light sport, depending on how you decide to categorize it. With 70% superwash Merino, 20% cashmere, and 10% nylon, it is super soft and plush indeed. Because it was heavier than we anticipated, we've added extra weight to the cakes of goodness to make sure you get the yardage you need; what we think of as "a 100g cake" will actually weigh 115-118g to ensure 400 yards.

                                  Fairy Dust - fingering (75% superwash Merino/20% nylon/5% Stellina), 435 yards/100g. Fairy Dust has life and sparkle, with the elasticity and softness of a merino/nylon blend. It combines sparkle and softness into one great yarn.
