Do you have yarns in stock that ship out right away or are all your yarns custom dyed? We sell yarns that we have in stock from our inventory, and we call them "ready to ship". These yarns ship within a few days of your order because we have them on hand. We also dye yarns for custom orders, and these are called "dyed to order", and they will ship from our studio 6-8 weeks after your order is placed. If you order ready to ship yarns and dyed to order yarns in the same order, we will ship your yarns separately as your ready to ship items can be fulfilled right away.
Can I call your office and place an order over the phone? Yes, absolutely! Call us at 608-841-1421. Office hours are roughly 9am-3pm CST to take your order or answer questions. We are working hard to make more gorgeous yarn for you, please leave a message if we aren't able to answer and someone will return your call.
Are dyed to order yarns returnable or exchangeable? No, these yarns are neither returnable nor exchangeable. We dye these unique yarns for you especially, per your specifications. All sales final once a dyed-to-order yarn order is paid.
Are ready to ship yarns returnable or exchangeable?
- Receipt must be presented for all returns and exchanges.
- Products may be returned within 30 days for a refund or exchanged within 90 days for another in-store product.
- Merchandise must be in same condition as when it was purchased, free from odors, with original labels intact, and in same skein or cake form as when it was purchased.
- Refunds will be made by the original method of payment. Cash or check refunds may be delayed up to 3 days.
- If returning or exchanging a product by mail, the customer must ship non-defective returned/exchanged products at his/her own expense. Contact email@example.com before shipping back defective merchandise for more information about shipping arrangements.
Do you have yarn clubs? Yes! We offer a variety of clubs. Each club has a sign-up period that lasts 1 month. The number of shipments for each club can range from 3-6, but sign up for most clubs are for one month at a time. Sign up for clubs on our website. Your club yarns and subscription are neither refundable or exchangeable. We dye these exclusive colorways and order treats especially for you, so all purchases are final.
Do you collaborate with designers? Yes! Any designer may contact us for free yarn support for one project/pattern at a time. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with a brief description of the design concept, and we will collaborate with you on colorways, yarn bases, and yardage.

How do I wash and take care of projects made with your yarn? We include care instructions for our yarns on each label/tag. All of our yarns except Parasol and Sensational Silk are machine washable. We recommend that you only hand or machine wash your knits in cool/cold water. (If it's handwashable only, be cautious not to encourage felting - Parasol is a feltable yarn and the right combination of water, agitation and this fiber could shrink down if it's not handled gently.) If it's machine-washed, use the delicate cycle. Lay your project on a flat surface to dry. Not all yarns can tolerate ironing, especially those that contain synthetic fibers. Use indirect steam with a cloth barrier sparingly and with caution. Any yarns with both red and white dye should always be washed in COLD water, because red dye may run otherwise.
