About this Colorway
A Rose By Any Other Name reminds us of dewy English roses and Midwestern spring lilacs. A smooth chromatic gradient that moves from pale pink to a perfect deep rose, this colorway is as sweet as a tale about star-crossed lovers, without the tragic ending.
This gradient is part of our Chromatics Collection - a sweet array of single-color gradients moving from light to dark.
Notes about Knitcircus Yarns
Because of our unique dyeing process, many of our darker colors appear heathered, with small light spots sprinkled throughout. This heathering is normal. Our yarns are colored using professional-grade acid dyes. We’ve made every effort to photograph the color accurately, but appearance may vary depending on your monitor settings.
About our Yarn Bases
Greatest of Ease - fingering (80% superwash Merino/20% nylon) - 400 yards/100g. Great stitch definition, soft and springy. Our most popular base.
- Large socks - A large socks set has 2 identical cakes that total 100g/400yd of fingering weight yarn. This is the perfect size to make long crew socks for women's size 6-12. If you want smaller socks or shorter cuffs, order a "medium socks set". We recommend working toe-up socks whenever possible in order to use every last inch of your gradient yarn.
Breathtaking BFL - fingering (100% superwash Blue-faced Leicester wool) - 410 yards/100g. This lustrous, longwool breed boasts a wooly halo and is a favorite among knitters.
Parasol - fingering (70% non-superwash Merino / 30% Mulberry silk) - 440 yards/100g. With incredible shine and a soft twist, this yarn shows a subtler side to colorways it's dyed on.
Ringmaster - worsted weight (100% superwash Merino) - 185 yards/100g. Round and super soft.
