About this Kit
Mountain Mist Hat: Take a sunrise hike through the mountains with this gorgeous colorwork hat! "Whenever possible I love to take pictures of the mountains. They naturally fade in an ombre, darkest in the front, fading out as the mountains recede into the distance." -- From the designer
The Mountain Mist Hat is designed by Tin Can Knits. This kit includes:
- (1) 50g cake of the colorway Rise and Shine on our Ringmaster base
- (1) Mini Skein Bundle of Misty Mountain tonals on our Ringmaster base; 50 grams of the darkest color, and 25 grams of the medium and light colors
- (Optional) Paper copy pattern - make sure to choose 'I want the pattern!' from the drop-down menu, otherwise no pattern will be sent and you can purchase the pattern yourself from Ravelry or Tincanknits.com. See notes below on pattern.
Yarn: Ringmaster - worsted weight (100% superwash Merino) - 185 yards/100g. Round and super soft.
Sizing:
Newborn (baby, toddler, child, adult SM, adult L)
Fits Head: 14 (17, 20, 20, 22, 24)“ around
Sample is knit in an adult L. Smaller sizes will use less of the gradient cake, resulting in fewer color changes. If knitting smaller sizes, we recommend winding off most of the yellow before you join the gradient into the colorwork chart.

MC, CC3: 40 (50, 60, 70, 80, 90) yds
CC2, CC3: 20 yds each

Notes about Knitcircus Yarns
Because of our unique dyeing process, many of our darker colors appear heathered, with small light spots sprinkled throughout. This heathering is normal. Our yarns are colored using professional-grade acid dyes. We’ve made every effort to photograph the color accurately, but appearance may vary depending on your monitor setting
